Join Our Forum on Voter Suppression: A Cancer in Our Body Politic
As we approach the 2022-midterm elections, we are witnessing brazen moves to suppress voting rights in numerous states:
· The elimination of many polling places
· The cancellation of early voting
· The intimidation at the polls of voters and election workers
These are just a few of the signs of voter suppression that have sprouted in recent years, as some members of the electorate try to get or to hold on to power by preventing potential opponents from voting.
Please join me on Monday, September 12, 7-8:30 pm, for a forum on this critical topic: “Voter Suppression: A Cancer in Our Body Politic”. ClassACT HR 73 will host this virtual forum. As a member of ClassACT HR 73, I recruited several speakers and suggested key topics to address.
You can register for the forum at: https://www.classacthr73.org/event-4886655.
The forum will bring together prominent journalists, activists and experts concerned with election integrity to discuss how repressing voting threatens our democracy.
